Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 5 amβ5 pm. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Small family-run spot with traditional Filipino takeout (limited menu), pastries and sweet breads, empanada and boba smoothies. I came here for a cold smoothie on a hot day and was greeted as soon as I stepped inside. The young staff was helpful with suggestions and happily accommodated my request for less sugar. The boba is crystal (agar) boba which was perfect in my honeydew smoothie. (They even offered a sample of the boba so I knew what I was getting). Decent spot for a quick stop to get a smoothie or something to eat. Will def come back again if Iβm in the area!

While the food was enjoyable and the boba was decent, the customer service was unfortunately lacking.
